ピーターソンスペシャルリザーブは季節限定たばこの中でも外せないもののひとつである。例年通りであれば年の始めにリリースされるが、今年は異例の様だ。それだけではない。このたばこの不思議な点は、市場によって説明文が全く異なると言うことである。フレーバーについての説明が分かれている。イギリス市場、マレーシア、日本市場ではコーヒーとチョコレートと説明されているが、ドイツ市場ではヒッコリーナッツ(ピーカンナッツ)と書かれているのだ。どちらが正しいのか、どちらとも間違っているのか。個人的にワクワクが止まらないのである。そこで、早速喫煙した上で当店独自の見解を述べようと思う。

As you know, one of the big event for us, pipe smokers. Normally they are released around February to March. This year is different. It's already October, moreover, a mysterious thing comes up. Description of this tobacco is so different in each countries. In England, Malaysia, and Japanese market, it says flavoured with coffee and chocolate however in Germany, flavoured with hickory nuts. I wonder which is true. I have decided to try it before I get nuts. I would like to show an answer as Suzuei Tobacconist's Shop.

パッケージはおそらく19世紀前後のヨーロッパの広場の様子である。よく見ると車両が右側通行なので、イギリス以外の国ではないかと想像が膨らむ。いったいどこの広場だろう…

It's package design is a painting of a square somewhere in Europe around 19 century. I guess it's not England because cabbies keep right. I have no idea more details.

缶を開け、袋を開封するとナッツをイメージさせる香りが広がる。同時にわずかにダークチョコレートのような香りを感じるが、これは上質な熟成されたバーレーの存在のお陰であろう。たばこ葉はやや乾燥気味で、カットはやや細かめな印象をもつ。ややきつめに詰めてみる。そうすることで燃焼温度を抑えやすい。

When open a tin and bag, it feels like smell of nuts, I guess hickory nuts. Also realize aroma of dark chocolate. I think it because of well matured burley. Each leaves so dry and cut is lil small. It's better to pack tightly to keep temperature.

着火すると、ナッツのアロマが口腔内を支配する。ベースとなるバージニアの甘さがしっかりとしている。タンパーワークをしっかりと行い、ゆったり目に喫煙することでより甘さを愉しめる。比較的マイルドなたばこなので寝起きにコーヒーを片手に愉しめる。勿論ディナーの前に食前酒カヴァを飲みながらでも面白い。

When light up a bowl, nutty flavour rules mouth and nose however can realize natural sweetness of virginia is like a supporting actor. It's important to smoke slowly and to do well tamper work, to feel sweetness of virginia more. This blend is so mild that can enjoy with a cup of coffee in a morning. For me, I would like to smoke this tobacco with cava before dinner 8-)
