雪が溶け桜の蕾が花開く頃、出会いと別れの季節。卒業と入学、就職と転勤、移動の季節である。我々人間は、季節によってすみかを移動する渡り鳥とそんなに変わらないのかもしれない。移動というものは忙しさがつきもので、そんなときにはちょいと休憩することも大事なことである。

When snow melts and cherries start to bloom, it's a season for wonderful encounters and parting. Graduation and matriculation, employment and relocation, people move somewhere to another, just like migratory birds. This season is so busy, sometimes it's important to take a break.

このたばこはそんなときに愉しんで頂きたいブレンドである。ピーターソンアイリッシュデューは、現在では春山商事取り扱いの商品であるが、かつて柘製作所が取り扱っていた。写真に写っているものは旧パッケージ、柘製作所時代のものである。製造されてから少なくとも2年は経っている。

This tobacco is good for taking a break. Peterson's Irish Dew used to be imported by Tsuge Pipe, now by Haruyama. This picture is an old package so imported by Tsuge Pipe. More than 2 years have passed since this tobacco was produced.

ブレンド内容は、バージニアとバーレーにアイリッシュウイスキーのフレーバーと恐らくはほんの僅かにチェリーのアロマ。およそ2年という時間がこのブレンドにどのような変化をもたらせてくれているのだろう。

This tobacco is a blend of virginia and burley, flavoured with Irish whiskey and a hint of cherry I guess. Something has changed thanks for 2 years.

開けたときの香りは、熟成が進んだバージニアを思わせるトマトの香り。豊かな土壌を連想させるバーレーのアロマとウイスキーは後の方に感じる。ブロークンフレイクなので詰めやすそうだ。着火すると真っ先に感じるのは、バージニアの甘さ。豊かな土壌をイメージさせるバーレーの味わいが後にひくので、心地よい。ウイスキーのアロマのお陰か、後味が何とも言えない独特の甘さに思える。火持ちが良く、マイルドな味なので好きな時間に愉しめる。個人的にはアイリッシュコーヒーを片手に愉しみたい。ノンアルコールであれば、ミルク多めのコーヒー。

Tin note, no, "package note" is tomato aroma, which makes me feel matured virginia. Earthy burley and whiskey aroma are in the 2nd half of a smell. It's a broken flake cut so it's easy to pack them into a pipe. When light up a bowl, matured sweetness of virginia comes up. After taste is earthy burley. I think it's an aroma of Irish whiskey but in the 2nd half of a puff, it tastes something sweet. This blend is so mind that I can smoke anytime. In my opinion, I would like to enjoy this tobacco with Irish coffee or milk-coffee(much quantity of milk).
